I live in NYC metro now. I have no desire to EVER live in California, dude.

I don't know why you thought California was my current residence.

Ok, that comment did nothing to say that LA is on par with NY in anyway.

Please, don't call me sweetheart again. I'm a male.

First of all I'm not from LA, nor do I really care for LA as a city, sorry Angelinos(though I have lived there) all I witnessed is people slamming Los Angeles left and right..I may have jumped to conclusions..but most New York Posters like to slam every city West of Philly..there will be none of that here..thank you..I am actually from Colorado, and have a residence here in California..I am sick of EAST COAST FOLK talking smack..to answer your question though. New York is more important, but IMO Less desirable. I looked at moving to Chelsea recently, I chose Laguna Beach easily. California wins easily.

If you prefer LA over New York then I am perfectly cool with that.

The part in bold that I highlighted is an opinion. Some would also prefer _________ city over LA....Miami, Philly, Boston, Seattle or any city.

The only point that I am trying to make is that NYC is far more important to the world than LA.

And I don't hate LA or California. LA would be in my top 5 to live in and SF would make my top 8 if forced to move from NYC metro area.

sorry for jumping your train, and categorizing you with some other posters..enough said. Go in peace . California is pretty damn nice, but to each their own.

Yeah, it is cool man.

I think that you were under the impression that my post were bashing LA.

I wasn't trying to make them that way.

maybe that is true, but the real difference between LA and NY is that LA compares itself to no other city in the world. Generally speaking, the people of NY have this ridiculous superiority complex that makes them look like a bunch of a-holes (same with SF to a lesser extent). people in LA either hate this city for whatever reason or could care less what other people think and go about with their lives. somehow though, even with our ambivalent attitudes toward other cities around the world, we remain a global city enjoying our excellent geography and weather.

What you have proved through your posts is you are a NYC Homer..you might actually travel to LA some time to establish a real opinion. Sure America's got Talent is broadcast from the city of Angels, but in no way does that depict,or pass barometer to the city of Angles.
