West Sailer and Contraband Bayou... this is just north of the casino, right? Those homes look nice. I wonder what the pricing is going to be like.

south of 1-10, however this is north of 1-10 along enterprise blvd. and yes west sallier is north of Lauberge du lac, and the contraband bayou kind of runs in both directions(some of it is north of the casino and some of the bayou is south of the casino grounds)

I realized I made an error when I typed my previous message, walnut grove is actually southwest of downtown.

Ahh, makes more sense. On the other side of the Cal River?

I've never seen nor heard of the North Lake Charles Redevelopment District. Oh my these 2 projects are just what LC needs from what I know. Every time I pass through Lake Charles I envy their infrastructure and the water that flows through the city. The city has much potential to become "the" small town of the south, it and possibly Lafayette.

Depends, used to be roughly once a month. That has narrowed to once every 1-3 months.

Default Mardi Gras Boardwalk wants to invest in Old Harrah's property

Developer wants to buy Lake Charles site | The Advertiser | theadvertiser.com

I'd be very interested to see how it all plays out. Hopefully all goes well if the Hard Rock Cafe deal does not work out.

This doesn't concern that but what's with the peach/pink abandoned property on the lake and I-10? Prime location!

I think that's the property that they are talking about. The property that you are referring to is where the Harrah's riverboat was before hurricane rita ****ed it up. Now all is left is that parking garage and the ruins of the old lake front hotel. Pinnicle had held on to that property for the longest but once Sugarcane Bay was cancelled, they also had to let go of the downtown property. I will agree that it is a prime location. I'd love to be able to use that part of the boardwalk again. It has been almost seven years.

Yea thats it. It would be good to finally see it in action. If I had the money that would be one of my investments. Something more than just another casino.

I'd be okay with either of these two (the mardi gras boardwalk or the hardrock cafe casino) b/c it could bring some performers (comedians, musicians, etc) that my grandparents did not grow up on! I mean places like Lafayette, Shreveport, Baton Rouge and New Orleans get many good performers into their cities, I'd like to see some of that here in the lake area.
