I was happy to hear on the radio yesterday morning that the Spirit of Jefferson has started morning and evening shuttle service between Jeffersonville and downtown Louisville.

Each trip can carry 300 passengers. Parking is free and the trip costs a dollar. The times correlate to rush hour traffic (6-9 am and 3-5 pm).
This is a two-week trial period for now to see if there is enough interest to continue. I hope enough people use it. Also I think this would be good for events at the Yum Center.

This is great news, and I hope lots of people take advantage of this passenger ferryboat across the Ohio. Parking is certainly cheaper than in downtown Louisville.
