Banking jobs and cheap apts in between knox and louisville? (Valley Station: apartment complexes, condo)

my family is possibly considering a move to ft knox-louisville, ky. Here's my sitauation. I work at Wachovia as a teller in VA for 2 months making $11.50 pt-time. I already know that there are no Wachovias out there. What banks are out there that will pay me anything close to this with some experience? Also i want a cheap ($500 or less) studio or 1 bed within an hour of Knox or Louisville where should i look?

Why don't you look around either Radcliff or E-town? (Elizabethtown) Do a search of their banks and then check out said bank's websites and see if they are hiring. As far as apartments, I am not sure. Good luck!

Don't get stuck on the $ 11.50. My point is that there is likely a difference in the cost of living. You might make more than $ 11.50 here, or even less.

You live in VA, but in actuality you are in Metro DC. The cost of living out there is substantially higher. So, you may have to take a pay cut (or maybe not), but it is much cheaper in the Louisville area. I think Valley Station or Radcliff would be nice options for you, and both are very cheap and nice areas. Missymomof3 is our Valley expert, so perhaps she can give you the best roads or apartment complexes to explore. May I also add that buying a home or condo in Valley Station may be a good idea because sometimes you can own a great place with a payment as low as 600 or 700 a month on your mortgage.

alanboy do a search for 40272 (Valley station) and see what you can find here. I am not real sure about apartment prices anymore but you should not have a problem finding a 1BR for what you want. Good luck!
