SPLOST project aims to reduce traffic in north Macon This should've been done 10 years ago. Bass Rd. should be widened from Zebulon Rd. to Arkwright Rd.

I agree this is something that should have been done already, you know like most cities and the state they wait until things are grid lock to try and fix the problem.

I remember watching the local morning news earlier this year about the city council members approving funds for the concept, design right of way acquisition for two projects. One was the Sardis Church Road extension and the other one was for the Bass Road widening. It's a lot of progress happening with Macon and Middle Georgia in general, and there is much room for improvement. Good to see that this construction project being added to the splost list. Now it is just up to the voters to approve it.

I'm glad this is finally being addressed. Another issue I have is that I-75 is still on four lanes from Arkwright Rd to I-475. It should have been widened as well. I really they put that on the TSPLOST for next year.

What is the likelihood of Interstate 75 exit 172 being improved from a diamond interchange to possibly a diverging diamond interchange?

There are plans to rebuild the interchange and widen the bridge, however I'm not sure what the design of the new interchange will be.
