I did see Cub Foods over by the mall tonight, are they better than Copps prices?

You guys/girls bad mouthing Woodmans? You ever shop at Festival Foods? The cashiers are scripted zombies and you need to have a gold platinum American Express preferred card to buy a bag of potato chips. So what if people like to make it a social affair and have parties in the cookie isle... They love it there so much its like a vacation.

I've seen Phil Woodman bag groceries in the La Crosse store. Guy makes the best commercials.

Sure the Madison store is busy, but with those prices and selection, how can you resist unless you have unlimited funds or you prefer to grocery shop at Kwik Trip?

If you are having problems, don't be afraid to just push your way through. If you have to hit some carts, so be it...drive over some toes, they'll heal...

I do enjoy the the Woodmans commercials, that guy has so much energy. I'm going to try Cub foods next time I need groceries. I wish we had a Super Wal-Mart closer to Middleton.

When it comes to groceries, you're better off going to Woodman's. They have a better selection and they're competitively priced with Walmart if not cheaper. The one exception is produce, where I have found Walmart's to be of much higher quality.

I almost always went to Sentry, on Midvale, when I lived in Madison. I know that it's not the largest, but it seemd to have all the basics, and I could walk to it as well..

Sentrys are nice -- a little more up-market than a Woodman's or a Cub Foods... but priced accordingly.

I never saw Cub's prices lower than Copp's. Maybe that's why they went out of business.

Woodman's isn't bad if you know how to manage. Use a hand held basket rather than a cart. When done shopping, go to the self checkout lanes. There's hardly ever a wait for those. When I lived in Madison I used to shop weekend afternoons, which is the busiest time & I could get in & out in no time. Also park in the liquor store parking lot. It's less congested & helps you get in & out quick.
