I used to live in Northport, and we ate there once or twice. It was good.

Down home memories also include the smell of breakfast cooking at camp...the sharp smell of coffee perking and the mixture of bacon and wood smoke....and a box of squash donuts sitting on the oil cloth covered table....the sound of the lapping of waves on the lake and a loon if youre lucky. The breakfast smell of other campers and their morning voices as they greet each other.....Round Pond....Plymouth Maine.

I also like the Maine Diner in Wells.....but don't get down that way too often.....its too far to drive for breakfast.....and altho they have breakfast all day.....but if we go later I cant resist their other specialties. There is another little breakfast spot in Ogunquit.....that is outstanding....."Cafe Amore".....Shore Road.

the smell of coffee perking, bacon and woodsmoke, well said elston, aromas of childhood
you throw in cigarette smoke,
any combinations of these take me wayyyyy back

One of my faves for breakfast is the Camden Bagel Cafe in downtown Camden. Also Home Kitchen Cafe in Rockland. Yum!
