It looks like a nice little town. Churches, library, big enough for a High School. Does anyone here know it well? My hometown looked "quaint", but the schools were run by drug dealers and we had one of the highest teen pregnancy rates in the State, so I'm skeptical!

Norway is a very nice town. I actually graduated from Oxford Hills High School, now know as Oxford Hills Comprehensive High school. There are 8 towns that go to that High School. Oxford, Otisfield, Harrison, Hebron, Norway, South Paris, West Paris and Waterford. Each of the towns have their own elementary schools that children attend through the 6th grade and then they all go to Oxford Hills Jr. High School for the 7th and 8th grade and then on to the High School. There is also a Vocational Tech school included with the High School.
The area has a great small town feel. There is a County Fair each fall that is very small and centers around agriculture but does have a small midway.
There are a lot of recreational type of things to do in the area. There are sports teams such as baseball, basket ball, and soccer for the kids to play in their younger years and all of the teams from each town play against each other. The High School and Jr. High also have sports teams. The area is close to or includes skiing, cross country skiing, snowmobiling, auto racing, hiking.
The area is not great for employment right now, a lot of people travel to the Lewiston-Auburn area for work.
I hope some of this information helps!

I live in Stoneham which is very safe and quiet. It's 35 min. to Norway. The advantage is that high school students in Stoneham can attend Fryeburg Academy tuition free and it's a top-notch private school that attracts an international student body (along with the local yokels). I also like the towns of Sweden, Harrison and Waterford which are quite close to Norway and they are definitely worth checking out. For all towns mentioned above, people grocery shop in Bridgton, Oxford, and No. Conway NH.
