Hello, I am going to Wells Maine for a week during the last week of August. I was wondering does it start getting cooler then? Will it still be warm enough to go to the beach?

Cooler evenings but still plenty warm to hit the beach.

Great time to go. If you can wait until after Labor Day the summer crowds will have thinned out and it will still be warm.

I go to the beach all year round, but then I live here.

I'm sure you'd be just fine in Wells at that time. I was fine going to Old Orchard Beach the week after Labor Day once.

P.S. Former Wells resident here...1974-77 as a little kid though.

That's great to hear! As long as I can get some tanning and relaxation in at the beach, I'll be happy! Thanks for the responses everyone!
