Oh yes blueberry whoopie pies! The cake part was loaded with wild blueberries in, I think, a vanilla cake. The cream looked to be just the regular creamy, white, oh-so sweet filling, but it had this hint of Blueberry flavor as well. I don't know if he flavored the cream a bit, or it was just a byproduct of being in contact with so many frigging blueberries. Whatever the case, I'm going back in tomorrow for a couple more. Hey, I have to make a dump run and I might get hungry or something you know .

Plus the fact winter is setting in and those make for excellent "insulation" around your middle section.

well, yeah....and the truck could break down, and it might snow up there tomorrow, and you might get stuck....and need something to eat to sustain you while you're waiting for help....or you might have to walk.....and you'd need the energy!! always best to be prepared in these types of situations....you know, just in case (although I have trouble picturing you stuck anywhere! )

so, it sounds like you take the perfect blueberry cake and maybe tweak the cream a bit with some syrup .....hmmmm

You got it! Like you are reading my mind Molly. It is supposed to snow about 1/2" tonight and you never know, the Suburban might just have a hard time pulling the trailer to the dump (oops sorry, "landfill"). Or I could get scared with the snow on the road and have to take a few minutes to calm down and regroup, what better way to sooth the worry than with a couple whoopie pies right? LOL

The cake part is like a cross between an awesome blueberry cake, and a cookie, but still moist. Kind of a real heavy dense cake really. His Chocolate chip with chocolate filling is too good also. So is his pumpkin ones.

LOL, then I'm not even going to get into what the store smells like in the morning when they are baking the fresh bread and rolls for the day, or that he has hot take-out lunches you can smell from a block away every day.

Kind of like the general store on Treats Island should smell like every morning, and noon. Fresh breads, rolls, cakes, brownies, cookies, and still hot doughnuts in the AM, by 5:30.

Damn, after 9, he's closed, I can't run up there right now.
