1) Current City and State = schuyler, VA

2) Why do you want to leave = n/a

3) Where In Maine and Why = Ellsworth, Waltham, Blue Hill : Large tract of land with Trees, near or on water, short distance to good size town and reasonable price.

4) 2nd and 3rd Place States = up state New York, Vermont.

5) What’s currently holding you back from moving = n/a

6) Anything else you want to tell us? = want to live some where that is very different from tropical climate.

1) Current City and State = Beaufort, NC

2) Why do you want to leave = 1. climate 2. price of land

3) Where In Maine and Why = Penobscot County, N-NW of Bangor within commuting distance of Bangor, if needed. That is where my intuition lead me and I like the rural character of the area.

4) 2nd and 3rd Place States = VERY distance second, Alaska. No third.

5) What’s currently holding you back from moving = $$, job, a project or two to complete here

6) Anything else you want to tell us? = I will be there this year, no matter what!

1) Current City and State = Vista, California

2) Why do you want to leave = I miss New England and I am tired of California.

3) Where In Maine and Why = One of the towns around Portland. Two of my three sons and one of my grand daughters live in the area. Portland is a familial homestead and I feel an affinity for it. I have envisioned living in several other areas of the state, but Portland seems the best fit.

4) 2nd and 3rd Place States = New Hampshire; Rhode Island

5) What’s currently holding you back from moving = have to sell my current home

2) Why do you want to leave = more snow and public land access for hunting, fishing, and hiking.

3) Where In Maine and Why = Portland (Career- biggest technology area in Maine)

4) 2nd and 3rd Place States = Alaska, Colorado

5) What’s currently holding you back from moving = finishing up school, job experience

6) Anything else you want to tell us? = nope

2) Why do you want to leave = Because I love Maine! And because I miss snow/ winter

3) Where In Maine and Why = Bangor area. We want to live in a rural area that's affordable, but still be fairly close to shopping, hospitals, etc.

4) 2nd and 3rd Place States = Maine is the only state for us. If I had to choose, it would be Vermont and New Hampshire

5) What’s currently holding you back from moving = Hubby and I need to find jobs in Maine and sell our house in NC

6) Anything else you want to tell us? = Did I mention that I love Maine?

2) Why do you want to leave = high crime rates, poor quality of education, high property taxes, low quality of life, HEAT and HUMIDITY, shall I continue......

3) Where In Maine and Why = coastal area somewhere between Belfast and Calais because we love the ocean and, of course, have to be within driving distance of the YaYas! The further north we can go, the lower our property expenses should be, so we're shopping!

5) What’s currently holding you back from moving = selling this house

6) Anything else you want to tell us? = Aren't you all sick of hearing me talk after all this time?

El, if you want a good school system, you can't beat Camden/Rockport. Plus, it's in the midcoast...my taxes aren't high, and things are much less expensive here than Downeast. You should really think about it...also, low crime rate.
