With another good size storm coming over the weekend ( 3-5" on saturday night and 5-8" on sunday)= obviously winter is not yet ready to lessen her grasp...
It is though- wonderfully sunny!
I was in Princeton a week or two ago, and the snowbanks are high!!

NWS in Caribou now says this will last until 11 PM. It is coming down at 1 to 2 inches an hour. We will exceed their 10 to 14 inch forecast.

Very High!! The snow plows come through and knock them down a bit off the road so one can even see out their driveway.
Today was awful- I bet the worst storm yet. I know full well it was at least 20" but that wind made it worse of huge drifts everywhere... On the flat level areas- it measured at 24" of snow.. Stupid forecast is still saying today was 10-14".. uh huh...

Should have stopped by and said hello to our dogs

Caribou was "supposed" to get 5 inches or so, but I bet we doubled that.

The Caribou long term forecast says colder than normal through the middle of April. That would mean a nice slow thaw. It also means more snow. Town budgets are strained.

To find this obscure data you need to scroll way down to the end of the forecast where it used to say "scientific forecast discussion". Now that same info has a link called "forecast discussion".

Following Sundays storm, and now 48 hours later- the storm that was originally said to be 1-3" of snow has turned into 6-10" ... At this point, we have used the snow blower more than we would have used the riding mower in the spring and summer time...
It's Nuts !

If it is any consolation, nobody alive has ever seen a winter this cold or this much snow in central and eastern Maine. Numerous records have fallen.
