We are truely enjoying retirement here in Maine. All the things you wish you had time for of being outdoors in a beautiful state, the ease of a slower life style without the pressure- all these things add even more into this decission we made.

Five years ago I took road trip to Maine we drove up the coast but stopped at portland. Every year after I drove a little further north and a little further north stayed longer and longer. interacted befriended locals . This year I hit lubec and eastport and bought a house I've lived in places like Estes park Humboldt County but nothing compares too maine as a whole. The food, culture, lifestyle, history, and attitude rocks. Maine is an incredibly inspiring place to be and so slow and laid back, the raw natural beauty and freedom. Watching the waves and incredible tides under a full moon, watching the first rays anywhere in the country rise and warm your face while smelling the minerally ocean breeze and pine. Love it.

Humboldt County! We used to live in Lake county

It makes a big difference when you get away from droughts.
