Wow, that *is* horrible! Maybe they should all have to go work on boats, then. Perhaps hard work & an up-close look at life on the water would give them a better understanding of how they should respect those that FORMED their communities. Do they still have lobster boats without the new contraptions that make life somewhat easier for lobstermen? Stick Seth & his buddies on one of those. Go old-school on their punk-asses!

I'm confused by which contraption you are referring to?

Um, yeah, those! Don't ask this inland-born girl to elaborate... I only know what I've been told by that one ex who worked on a lobster boat years ago, &, well, what I saw on Extreme Home Makeover (or whatever the heck that show is called).

(edited to add... 'make life easier' in a relative sense, of course... not that it seems to be an easy sort of way to live, even with motors to pull traps or whatever the heck)

If it were up to me, I'd set them adrift three miles out in a leaky hulk with a broken motor, give them a radio and battery, sail away and let them call "Mayday" to their heart's content with no one showing up to help.

(Naturally, I'd go and get them just before they sank. It wouldn't be much of an object lesson if they didn't survive.)

I don't know El because we don't have Jack In The Box in Maine. You better suck those shakes down while you can! Maybe since you will be coming home in March and it is still fairly cold then the shakes would make it on the trip up here.....that would give us a chance to try them. I looove eggnog
