McDonald's has their eggnog shake for the season... I saw the sign up. Just make you own--eggnog, little milk, little ice cream, maybe a touch of cinnamon, and touch of Kahlua... ayuh

Most electronic stores or china stores like Pier One has tons of bubblewrap that they throw away each day. Around here, I asked the manager of the local gift store to save it for me. Saves dumpster fees for the stores and I get free bubblewrap. It's always yours for the asking.

Oh, great idea! I'll need a good bit to pack photos, dishes, etc. I figure that will keep it all safer than newspaper on such a long haul.

An update on my s-brother - he had a rough night. He didn't break a hip, it's two fractures in his pelvis. Thanks to blood donors, the blood he lost has been replaced. If you donated blood in Bangor recently you might have helped save his life. Thank you. Going to a regular room is still up in the air this morning. He probably won't be coming home this week. His daughter is the 11 yo niece who shot the moose. She thinks he's a cool lab project. "I'm going to be a vet you know. Let me see your staples."

Hang in there,MW, you and S-brother. I am a regular blood donor in Wells and I'm scheduled to give more on Sat.
My BIL fell from house rafters years ago and broke ribs, fractured vertebrae and pelvis. He had lots of complications following several surgeries because the pelvis break nicked his bladder. If you can have s-brother look up some good pain clinics. those kind of injuries frequently have long term pain.
My prayers are with you and yours for a good holiday despite the crisis.
