lol.... I understand One of my favorite caches was hidden in a bolt of a Stop sign.... another was between a brick wall and a bookstore sign. I've seen teeny tiny ones stuck to railings, and film canisters hidden on guardrails... they're everywhere! For me my hiking is somewhat limited after have knee surgery almost two years ago--I love to hike, but boy, I pay for it later! and.... to be on topic....

we need to place more caches in Eastport for El to find! Right now there is only one

I tore all the meniscus in the right one in early 04 and had surgery in April of that year. Still swells, still pops and creaks and aches. lol Tore the inner on my left knee about 2 months ago. This time, we've gone the route of injections, but it hasn't helped. Not cortisone, but some kind of fluid to gel up and act like the cartilidge that isn't there anymore. Too many years being on my feet all day for work I guesss and an active youth. Geesh.

Who was it that said, 'Growin' old isn't for wimps'? lol They were right!!!!!

And keeping on topic, along the side of the road geocaching in Eastport I could do!

My son found one unintentionally not too long ago. He had hiked in to some god forsaken pond to fish and stopped and leaned against a stone wall. He noticed one of the rocks was loose and looked out of place, he pulled it out and found his first cache. He said it was cool and replaced it in the wall. I know there's a pretty nice one out on IAH but I don't know which site she registered it on. A gift certificate, a book, and an IAH t-shirt.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Actually..........I'm the one with the great sense of direction - as long as I know where it was that I started from and everything doesn't look exactly the same. Those tree lined roads and lack of road signs up there do worry me a bit. They were pretty confusing and took us on many a long scenic drive!

Brad is the one who gets lost coming home from work! Yes, I'm serious. The man has absolutely NO sense of direction - enters parking lot - 8 hours later - exits parking lot, turns left instead of right, gets onto freeway - realizes 10 miles down the road he's headed AWAY from home! Mind you, HOME is the place he was born and lived all his life up to that point. The new job was 30 minutes up the road where we did all our major shopping every week. I'm serious as a heart-attack! That was his experience the first day of his new job right before we got married. It was then that I knew to be worried about him!!

So we may need dual tracking devices!

Will he be driving the ambulance in Eastport? That's going to be a shock for him, through all the snow and ice (not to mention the fog). I do not like driving in the dark in Maine - at all! It gets dark at 4 pm in the winter.

Somewhere around there! He's very good on the ambulance. You'd be impressed at how detailed their directions are, and they always ride in twos, so he'll never be alone. Here, they also have gps on the trucks, and the dispatcher is only a radio call away when they occasionally get turned around.

I would imagine he won't be driving until he's fully trained by their standards and they're confident in his abilities.

And in our current town, he knows every road, street sign, road #, etc by name and location. I'm sure he'll learn his territory very quickly. He is good about that. Repetition!!!Repetition!!!Repetition!!!
