We've been staying in Portland for a few days and will be leaving on Thursday, but we need another night here before going back home to crowded New Jersey. We're looking for a resort type place, with hiking trails, maybe ocean views, or even in the wilderness. Hey, a log cabin may be perfect.

Any suggestions?

These are very nice resorts along the coast.
The Cliff House in Ogunquit
Stage Neck Inn in York Harbor
Nonantum in Kennebunkport

Dennis, you're in the wrong seat! Run over to Ri-Ra and have lunch and a beer!

I'm saving that beer (probably 3) for dinner!

Just came back from a 4 mile walk along the Harborwalk Trail.

Dennis (nothing exciting happening out the window)

No homeless hanging around the Ferry terminal??? You are staying beside the finest bakery in Maine by the way Standard Baking which is just below one of the best restaurants in the State as well Fore Street.

Maineah,

I had my lunch from there... a ham & cheese croissant and a blueberry scone.

Dennis (looking for that homeless guy that I saw this morning)

ps. there was one (just now) talking to a Ri Ra employee at the door of the restaurant. Nice beard! He just walked in and is being escorted out. Now he's looking in the windows. This is as good as cable TV.

It tends to be a busy place.
