After a tasty meal, nothing beats a bit of real tasty Port- preferably Harris.

Otherwise, I am a lightweight- Pinot Grigio with ice cubes and club soda

Now, that does sound good! Not like cough medicine at all! Maybe not a "warm fireside drink" but hey, the fire is probably warm enough anyway . I'll try that sometime.

I'm a mostly a wino - year round. Usually red but some whites in the summer. At Christmas time I trade up and buy a dozen or so expensive reds - $20+ range is expensive for me. And a bottle of Veuve Clicquot for New Year's Eve which is really pricey. If it gets really cold I'll have a scotch - neat. And if it gets colder than that I'll have a cognac. I never turn down a glass of port either.

If any of you guys like Bailey's try the new Starbucks coffee liquor. It's really good. Similar to Bailey's but with a coffee flavor so good for mixing with coffee.

I also like Bailey's in cocoa. YUM!

Kapali seems to be the choice here. Call me cheap. Allens in a pinch as it is little too strong for me. Up until the past few years when we had plenty of fresh eggs I'd make some eggnog that was quite tasty. Dozen eggs with rum and brandy. Nice and smooth but would still possible curl your toes like the witch of the East under the house....

I LOVE Port! But my every day favorite evening treat is a good Merlot.
