the best frost heave i have come across is going thru the bay woods . its at the top of a little knoll, so you cant see it (either direction) and i tend to forget about it (which means i forget to slow down). it also crosses the whole road, so unlike some frost heaves, you cant swerve to the other side to miss it. i hit it so hard one time with the old envoy, the kids in the back seat hit their heads on the ceiling of the car (even tho they were buckled).

I'm going to put in a second vote for Rte 52 in the Lincolnville area. I'd also like to toss College Ave in Lewiston out there. I was down there yesterday and the outer part of that road is a nightmare in spots!

i remember when i worked in the city- one of my coworkers had to go out college ave. he hit a pot hole so big he ended up with a flat tire!
