Is it? Great news!!! When do they plan that and how much of an opening? I haven't heard.

Pulp is going back at 100%. Steve's working today (interim job as a forester for a logging company) and doesn't want to leave in the middle of the project. He's going back tomorrow. Others are already there. The mill reopens June 22.

Great news for Washington County and the people of the mill. The pulp and paper industry is unique with a unique culture. I was in it for 18 years and they are good hard working people. A paper mill is very noisy. It is amazing to watch the backtender and machine tender communicating with each other with a unique language of hand signals understood by nobody else in the world.

Now to get the mill their railroad back.

I can't believe it was this quick. Wonderful!
We need to have things in Washington County!
Losing something that large would of been hard on us all.
Banks merged with larger banks out of Portland here~did not want to loan people money for business - so they could create work for others.
I hope that changes now.
