I have been trying to remember the name of a garden center that used to be in Columbia MD. They had a petting zoo where you could feed the goats, sheep and other farm animals. I believe it was on the west side of town (west of Rt 29). It disappeared 10+ years ago and became a housing development that kept the name of the garden center.

Do you remember what it was called?

Could you be thinking of the original Metzlers or Enchanted Forest with is now a community. Metzlers relocated. I think the Enchanted is now called Elliott's Oak?

It was Metzlers! Thank you for remembering.

The neighborhood they built on that property is called Metzlers Garden. It's one street called Dottys Way off of Owen Brown Rd near Martin Road.

Quote:
The community's homes were mostly developed around 2006, but newer construction homes were built as recently as 2007. In general, homes in Metzler's Garden are $725,000 and sit on quarter-acre lots with four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
Enchanted Forest used to be an amusement park up on Rt 40. A lot of their nursery rhyme "buildings" (old woman's shoe, 3 little pigs house, etc) were moved to a new location in Elliots Oak.

Such fun to remember.
