I am a young professional that just recently decided to explore the possibility of buying a house. I had lived in apartments for a very long time and since I just got a dog I decided to look for house... so hopefully i would have a least a small backyard for my dog.

Being a single gay man I wouldn't love to be in the middle of nowhere...
But I do have realistic expectations. My budget is 130k-150k, so I am looking for either a small town with somewhat of an urban feel, an inexpensive area in the outskirts of Boston or even Worcester that happens to be also safe.

I work in the Natick area and I really wouldn't mind an hour of commute.

Any suggestions!? please help!!!

You might find something close to the 150 in Framingham but I think most single homes are closer to the 180-200 mark. Worcester is a nice city with plenty of great neighborhoods and still within an hour of Natick. Why don't you check out some of the real estate websites and/or speak to a Realtor? Good Luck.

If you look into Worcester, look at the west side: 01602 and 01609 zip codes. If you want the name of a realtor in Worcester, DM me and I'll pass along a name.

No area is a problem for gay people if that was a question. No social life in the outback, but OP doesn't seem to mind that if willing to drive an hour to Natick. How about Grafton and environs? I think there's more for the buck there, including some backyard. Congrats to OP for getting a new best friend! Dogs are why I left the city and bought a house.
