No flames please, as I lived there from when I was 6 until I was 35. But fortunately, you can wash most of that off when moving to another state that is decent.
sounds like you are mad that you couldn't hack it in MA.

Not even close.... I was laughing all the way as I had movers packing and got me out of the state.
Stupidity scares me. Just my opinion. "Mad"? I rejoiced when I was exiting. Granted I went to a university in Cambridge MA, the state is not a place I would choose to live. Wonderful towns/cities, like a good chunk of western MA (NOT), Lawrence, Lowell, New Bedford, and about 50 others I can name. The best was seeing the signs for Athol, where people would spray paint an 'R' at the front, and an 'E' at the end. Or visit Orange, and go see Bugsy. Let's talk about Chelsea, Holyoke, Springfield, Haverhill...
Having lived there for 29 years, I came to realize "Young and not liberal, no heart. Old and not conservative, no brain" was absolutely correct. Though I never did the liberal part. Did you go to Boston, and cr*p on the street like the 'Occupy Boston' freaks? Just the messenger here.

JMHO.
