lived in Fall River for a bit. Lizzie Borden is the most famous one. Emeril Lagasse was one of the more notable Fall River residents as was Jerry Remy. Ernest Moniz (the U.S. Secretary of Energy) is from Fall River as is George Stephanopoulos. Hank the Angry Drunken Dwarf on the Howard Stern show was from Fall River as well.

New Bedford's most famous resident historically was Fredrick Douglass. Hetty Green (one of the richest women in history) was also a New Bedford resident. Joseph Abboud is from New Bedford. Many of his lines are manufactured in the city still and New Bedford features prominently in his advertising campaign ("From New Bedford" is written on his flagship store on 5th Avenue in New York and New Bedford Harbor as well as the New Bedford factory are featured on his national commercials).

Hometown: not natives, but the Princess of Japan and Mitt Romney lived in Belmont.

New town: I didn’t know anyone besides JP Dellacamera so I had to look this one up, haha. Apparently they include Mazz of Felger and Mazz (now apparently in Sudbury?), the previous Governor of NH, 2 Bruins forwards, and Carol Spinney, the voice of Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch.

Braintree~ numerous Boston professional athletes have called it home. Donny & Mark Wahlberg also lived there for a few years across the street from one of my friends. At one time, actor Steve Carell lived there as well.

Hopedale~Joe Perry from Aerosmith lived here growing up. Ruth Pointer of the Pointer Sisters lived here for a few years and had a child who went to school with one of my kids. Shoe designer Beverly Feldman came from Hopedale as well.
