Like if someone had that on their bucket list just to milk a cow. Where could I go to do that?

It's not Boston, but the Inn at East Hill farm in Troy, NH.

On this: If you don't have a child (12 years or younger), you'll have to borrow one to get in.

Rota Spring Farm, also in Sterling, has a bunch of belted Galloway cattle ... they may let you have at it for a small fee.

Richardson's on 114 in Middleton keeps cows that they use to make their ice cream/milk. Unsure if they will let you milk them yourself. You'll definitely need to call/explain that one

Contact Us | Appleton Farms CSA | The Trustees of Reservations

Phone numbers for Appleton Farms in Ipswich. I don't know if they'll let you milk the cows, maybe they would. You can watch them milk the cows at 4pm.

The Natick Community Organic Farm does a lot of community education. I think the farmer who runs it is named Linda. I bet if you called and asked they'd let you milk their cow. Or their goat. Or something else. Probably more likely to do so if you offered to make a donation.
