Just as a state police OT scandal is unrelated to corruption in Methuen...

So I'm being accused of "right wing vitrol", as I'm highlighting overcompensation in the private sector when the public sector gets bashed (although I'm not defending them either)??? You would think I'd be accused of being a socialist here!

Of course I understand the difference between public and private. But with that said, don't think we all aren't paying for the likes of Liz Warren's ridiculous compensation from Harvard in some way. Even if you aren't a student at Harvard or even some other school, such is becoming a huge drag on society especially the current generation. It's not just the wretched public sector unions robbing us.

Many times, they do what you'd expect.
I have no problem paying them their fair shake if they are actually doing what they are supposed to be doing, as they are supposedly there for a reason. It is dangerous work and requires an extreme amount of vigilance and attention. Sitting in their cruisers and/or looking down at their phone, etc. should not be tolerated. It's less the money abuse, than that they are putting the public and themselves in danger. If they can safely do any of that stuff, than as far as I'm concerned no detail is needed. The detail reform passed a few years ago, did not go anywhere near far enough.
