My commute from my driveway in Natick to my garage in Kendall Square was 35min 29 seconds today. Arrived at 10:02am.

If you can go agains the herd and shift your schedule and work 10-6 core hours that goes a long way...

My commute is usually 35-45min rarely lower or higher. 10-6 core hours.

Few and far between in my experience. Friends who live in Framingham usually suggest to meet in Waltham for dinner and even that is almost always quicker for us to get there from Cambridge. Pass on any suggestions you have in metro west. I'd welcome some new options if I have to be in that area.

Under regular circumstances Natick to Boston or Cambridge is a terrible commute:

I discourage anyone from living outside 128 for that reason (also because if you're in 128 you generally have access to the subway system).

Yeah, I mean sure if you can get into work at 12:00PM then the commute is like 25 minutes >_>. At that point you might as well just be a full-on remote worker and not even have a commute.

Yeah don't live in Weston, Wellesley, or Needham since it's outside of 128!

My door to door commute from Natick to Kendall Square is 1HR if i leave at 8

45min if i leave at 9

if i leave at 9:15 its 40min

Yes, exactly. Most people don't live in Weston, Wellesley or Needham. Why are you so insecure about where you live? It's really weird. Nothing is wrong with Natick, but it's hardly perfect. Also, a one hour commute driving is terrible.

Yeah I'm living here with enough cash in the bank to pay my mortgage off... Real insecure...

I'm trying to point out that there is value to be had outside of 128 but nobody wants to hear it.

The fact that you're bringing up how much money you have when no one asked about it is the insecurity I speak of, lol. The reality is that OP wants a less than 45 minute commute to Financial District. Natick can not provide that. I even recommended Natick myself, but reality is -- it's not a good commute for a typical 8/9 - 5/6 commuter.

Where can i get a town inside 128 with good schools, and a < 1hr 8am driving commute to Boston/Cambridge?

It would take me nearly an hour to take the T to the seaport for example (with zero delays) according to google maps, 48 to financial district, and I'm in Somerville. 1hr is pretty standard. And adjusting expectations towards that 1hr mark can be helpful in opening up other possible towns.

Oh please. A 1hr driving commute at 8 is amazing from anywhere outside Boston.
