Unfamiliar with area and looking for a vacation rental for one week. Which is preferable, Minot Beach area or Fourth Cliff? Family of 5- three young kids. Thanks!

They are both lovely -- we have rented cottages in both locations and enjoyed them both equally.

Fourth Cliff is quite a bit quieter, IMO.

Minot Beach is probably more popular, but for a reason -- it's a nice big area of sand, and there are a bunch of rocks that make playing in the water very interesting.

I think you are fine either way -- find a cottage that suits your family, and have a fantastic vacation!

HTH

Smile You Can't Go Wrong

Hi, rmh1!
Love2driveinct is quite right- both areas are really nice.
Fourth Cliff may be quieter, but Minot Beach is probably a bit more fun!
I grew up in the town next to Scituate, Cohasset (parents are still there), and
I spent a lot of time in the Scituate area.
The great thing is that it hasn't changed that much.
I'm wondering what has made you consider this area.
Most people head right to Cape Cod, where I presently live, and miss the beauty that is the South Shore.
While you're in the area, I would encourage you to check out Nantasket Beach in Hull, a lively beach town, a couple of towns away.
The amusement park, Paragon Park, has been long gone, but the promenade along the beach is lovely, and your kids would enjoy the carousel.
Cape Cod is worth seeing as well, if you'd like an interesting day trip.
You'll have a great vacation, whatever you decide!
