"In addition to the ban, the bill would impose a new tax on the sale of all electronic nicotine delivery systems, or e-cigarettes, which would be 75% of the wholesale price of the product."

What a huge surprise.

No more crisis folks... Just pay up and all is fine. What a scam.

Recent CDC laboratory testing of bronchoalveolar lavage (BAL) fluid samples (or samples of fluid collected from the lungs) from 29 patients with EVALI submitted to CDC from 10 states found vitamin E acetate in all of the BAL fluid samples. Vitamin E acetate is used as an additive in the production of e-cigarette, or vaping, products. This is the first time that we have detected a potential chemical of concern in biologic samples from patients with these lung injuries.

From the CDC!

Not sure I understand your point - what do you take from this passage? I read it as - the CDC has been evaluating biological samples taken from 29 people made very ill from vaping, sustaining lung injuries, and they found what could be the causative agent (or at least a causative agent) for these patients.

A small price to pay if you love vaping, I guess - "A Teen's Lungs Were So Badly Damaged from Vaping, He Needed A Double Lung Transplant"
https://www.livescience.com/teen-vap...ransplant.html
...surgeon's observation "He wouldn't have survived even minutes without [the ECMO heart and lung machine]...The lung itself was so firm and scarred — this is an evil that I haven't faced before"

There are 3 separate issues:

1) vaping related illnesses

2) kids vaping (flavors)

3) taxation

None of these issues have anything to do with the others.
