What was the Big Lie told to the public to legalize marijuana in Massachusetts?

'Legalize Marijuana and there would be no more Marijuana crimes in Massachusetts. Massachusetts police would have more time for other crimes'

Today is January 27, 2020
I just placed the boolean words "massachusetts marijuana arrest police" and conducted a boolean search in Google News History for the past year, to see how many crimes including marijuana in Legal Massachusetts in just 12 months.

Findings:
O' my.
Marijuana has been legal in Massachusetts for years.
It appears there are more crime involving marijuana in Massachusetts than ever. Most egregious crimes. And more violent crime including marijuana. Police in Massachusetts are more busier with legal POT!

Never heard anyone utter this.

Do you have any data supporting this?

More busier with legal pot? What are they busy doing concerning legal pot except perhaps detailing at a dispensary?

Any white kid from the 'burbs knows marijuana has been effectively legal for decades. I'm just happy legalization has afforded my non-white brothers and sisters the same personal freedoms without fear of police retribution. Any rational person knows the most dangerous aspect of marijuana was the black market trade and, while it still remains as large as ever, at least those looking to avoid criminal elements can procure their goods through "clean channels".

And no, I'm confident Wror has no data supporting this claim unless one counts fearmongering as "data".

So there are no limits to how much you can grow, or possess? No limits on where you can smoke it? Hard to believe that's the law.

In Oregon you can grow up to 4 plants and possess 2 oz of dried product. Private citizens can not sell pot. You can't smoke pot in public. You have to be 1000 ft from a public school to grow.

Massachusetts has none of those rules? Hard to believe.

I thought it was legalized for the potential tax revenue.

Because it isn't the law.

Well the "big" lie was that non-white residents could run these businesses. From how the commission is being run, minority owned businesses aren't getting a fair shake

Other than that woman in Uxbridge, I'm pretty sure all of these businesses were medical beforehand.

Hate to break the news to you, but white people can't open these businesses either. Again, except for that woman in Uxbridge.

Exactly. Maybe if Boston would just open a shop already, then these crazy black market crimes that you imagine will also go away?
