The thimerosal is only in multi-dose flu vaccine vials. Anyone who is scared of mercury can get the single dose flu vaccine.

Note the difference between the toxic methylmercury and the ethyl mercury in thimerosal.

No, the amount of aluminum in vaccines was not increased when thimerosal was removed. It is also not toxic in the doses in vaccines.

I can understand some concern about mercury in vaccines. However the use of thimerosal is declining, and it's not in there for nothing. As the CDC notes: "Thimerosal is added to vials of vaccine that contain more than one dose (multi-dose vials) to prevent growth of germs, like bacteria and fungi. Introduction of bacteria and fungi has the potential to occur when a syringe needle enters a vial as a vaccine is being prepared for administration. Contamination by germs in a vaccine could cause severe local reactions, serious illness or death. In some vaccines, preservatives, including thimerosal, are added during the manufacturing process to prevent germ growth."

In other words, there is risk in not using a preservative, like thimerosal.

MGH policy still makes you put their surgical mask on top of your N95, to make sure it's "clean and effective".

I remember going into certain businesses and they'd ask you to remove your mask and put on the ones they were giving out instead. However, that brings up another topic for discussion. How long/how many uses do some people use their N95 and when does it stop being effective? Can you imagine the people hanging their mask over the rear view mirror in their car always leaving it there for convenience then throwing it on every time they go in a store or place of business....for months at a time...possibly using the same mask?!

I think at this point the people wearing N95 are probably pretty aware of aerosol science (and putting another mask on top of an N95 risks breaking the seal due to pressure changes! So it's outrageous MGH/Partners risks people's one protection in that germfactory called a hospital). N95 are also easy to get these days. No need to re-use excessively. Those that don't care will just not wear a mask or take the free surgical they hand out if they have to wear a mask. And it terms of cleanliness - how clean is the coat or hat someone puts on for months or years.

One of my neighbors has had a mask hanging on the rearview mirror for months. Is it the same one ? I don't know but that makes you wonder if out of convenience and laziness do people keep using the same one they hang in their car and never change it out?

As for coats, hopefully people dry clean or wash them regularly as they do with their clothing!

This was certainly true back before May 11 (the official end of the Covid emergency). Has MGH reinstated their masking policy?

A Canadian journalist who wanted the vaccine passport and wanted the unvaccinated to go to concentration camps dies at 33.

He advocated for people to get fired if they did not get the jab like in Massachusetts ..
