this is accurate but its part of snobbiness.

You think many Americans know what State Perth is in?

Whether intentional or not, some of the comments in the follow-up article are pretty funny:

It’s all in good humor, folks.

Well South Park never parodied Massachusetts for smugness / snobbiness. That honor went to San Francisco so my ranking of snobbiest states would go something like this:
  1. California (San Fran overwhelms the rest of the state)
  2. Connecticut
  3. New York ( due to NYC/Westchester)
  4. and then maybe Massachusetts

I never thought I'd see the day that Billerica was gentrifying. Now all of the new developments are ugly-ass McMcMansions. Even the strip club is gone!

bar Fairfield. The closer you get to NYC the more "I only go to Nantucket on a private jet" it gets. Parts of Fairfield are like Wellesleyx10

But the rest or CT, wealthy or not.. is fine. Hartford area (W. Hartford, Avon, Canton, Farmington, etc) are more down to Earth.

Jersey is fine too. Alot of rich people I meet here are so liberal, that they think liking the Yankees is a far right statement... and therefore, only support the Mets. I find NJ a different ballgame than NY or SWCT.

Huh? Hedge funders are extremely arrogant/boastful.

I agree with this CT part. And most of the Jersey part but I will say Jersey has a lot of Republicans in general for its demographics: well educated, monied and diverse. But the rich liberals in Jersey are more apt to walk the walk than in MA.
