I need help in finding a good location to move, Love living in Providence but public schools are awful and I can't afford private. So moving to Massachusetts....will have kids in schools, so schools need to be good. I will be commuting into Providence for job so what's the best commuting route. I'd love to find a home that also has some outbuilding where I can have music studio without bothering neighbors.
You haven't said at all what your housing budget is which 99% of the time someone posts is the controlling factor. Aside from the outbuilding on your wish list, it would also be helpful to hear what kind of house you expect to live in.
Without knowing anything at all about what you're looking for except for proximity to Providence and great schools, my absolute 100% totally uneducated guess suggestion would be Sharon. It's not a bad drive to Providence from there and they have a highly regarded school system. Not a super cheap place to live though especially when you factor in their real estate taxes which is why telling us your budget and your expectations for your new home are so important.
The less fancy northern part of Barrington is going to be cheaper than anything with a comparable school system in Massachusetts that has a much bigger commute. Plus, you're on the coast and on the bus route to Providence likely walking distance from a bus stop.

After that:

Mattapoisett to the I-195 split is 30 minutes. That has a good K-6 elementary school and the shared middle/high school with Marion and Rochester is pretty good. Houses and land are cheaper north of I-195. You’re competing with vacation home buyers south of I-195. That’s the best Massachusetts public schools anywhere on 195. Depends where the commute is in Providence. College Hill wouldn’t be bad. Up by Providence College would be more traffic. I know a few people who work at the VA Hospital with that commute. It’s not awful.
I’d still start with Barrington.
