Hello All,

We have to move to MA this summer, due to my husband's job. Work location is Cambridge. Therefore, need help with narrowing down on a district where we can buy a house to settle down.
1. Please suggest a good school district(s), where we can buy a house as well.
2. We are looking for a 3-4 bedroom house (townhouse/Single Family).
3. Home purchase budget is up-to $900k-$950k.
4. Preferable, if the district is at a 1 hour driving distance from Cambridge.
5. We are a family of 4, with kids aged 7 and 4. Would be nice to be around young families and, if any Indian population.

Thank you in advance!

How big of a house and lot are you thinking about?

Arlington's nice, adjacent to Cambridge and should fit your budget (but the way prices have been going, it's hard to be sure). You might want to assess where your priority is, shorter commute versus more house for your money. Most of the suburban school systems are at least OK, if you don't make a fetish out of finding the very best. I don't know where you're most likely to encounter other people with Indian backgrounds.

Consider Acton or Littleton. New house in Littleton for that budget. Best wishes on your move.

Looking for 3-4 Bedroom house. We are ok with both Townhouse (around 2500 sqft) and Single Family house (around 3k sqft). Hope this answers your question.

Hi Amontillado,

If we prioritize more house for the money, what other areas would you suggest with good schools and mix of Indian Population? Thanks.
