I know this is too broad a topic but that is what we are looking for. We have lived in Andover for 40 years and want to downsize to a condo.

There does not seem to be too many in the North Shore. Andover has million dollar ones with a golf course. We don't golf. There are some in West Andover near industrial parks - not appealing.
We are open to move anywhere within MA, with easy reach to the airport, medical facilities. Would like a town with some character, a Town center, good library, cultural activities, good governance, conservation minded. Our requirements are it should have a nice view. 2 bed, 2 bath. Full maintenance. Walkable, hiking trails near by, parks.
I saw this while googling.
Something like this:
https://copperworkscondos.com/
I find the layouts appealing, the large windows.

I know nothing about Canton and don't know if it will fill our requirements. Would like any information you can share.
Thanks

OP, there are condos all over the place, but the nice ones don't last long. You don't mention the price range, so that makes it difficult. You have $1-1.5M condos in Brookline on one hand and $280K condos in Natick Village on the other. One of our neighbors sold a house here and moved to a brand-new condo in JP.

But heck, why not start looking where you are now. I see three available condos in Andover, not cheap, though:

You could search this website for any town you want; just select the Map View and extend the map throughout the Boston area.

I don't know about Canton. . . wouldn't be my first choice. Expensive, high RE taxes, and the traffic is difficult (see Canton forums here).

It is a short distance to the center of town (Walpole) and the train station (so easy to get to the airport). There are parks in the center of Walpole and it isn't far from Norwood which also had parks. Close to route 1, Patriot Place.. Route 128.

Not sure what you mean by medical faciilities but there is a Norwood Hospital and various doctors offices in the area.

in Plymouth MA try Pinehills and Redbrook communities. Beth Israel Plymouth is nearby for medical facilities. Plymouth has a ton or restaurants, a performance hall and of course the Ocean. You are also only 15 minutes to Cape Cod.

Norwood Hospital is not currently in operation There was a flood there a couple of years ago and the buildings are unusable. It is going to be rebuilt.

That area of Canton is close to where my SIL used to live. Close to downtown, very close to the train station.
Not really close to much nature.

The train station does worry me. We may just take a trip to Canton to see what it is like.

Just out of curiosity—do you feel as though you spent your time in Andover and are ready to move on? Or would you like to stay but can’t find a condo you like there?

If I found a condo I liked I will remain in Andover. It is a great town. I would rather not spend time and energy getting to know about other towns.

As I think I told you in reply to a prior post do the following:

Go to Redfin and punch in Andover. Don't ask for current for sale. Ask for all sold properties in the last 5 years. Tick off townhome and condo under type and then 2 bed 2 bath. This will give you all condos and townhomes sold in the last 5 years in Andover. This will give you an indication of what townhome/condo developments currently exist in Andover. If you find a development in an Andover location you like then hone in on that and watch for anything that comes up for sale. You can also do the same by driving around but this seems a bit more efficient.

If there are no developments you like (you don't want to be on the outskirts of town) maybe contact your town planning board and ask if there are any proposals to build or re-purpose an old building in the pipeline and then contact the builder and inquiry now.

If neither of those 2 approaches work, you can do the same for other cities/towns in MA. Don't just concentrate on what is for sale NOW unless you need to move NOW. You want to find out what developments even exist and then hone in on those.

You can even just pick a town and remove the outline and it will give you everything in your parameters within probably 50 miles of your target town. Maybe you will consider a place that is not even on your radar right now.
