Just terrible. This is already horrific but I suspect something more sinister happened. However if someone had him I’m not sure why they’d choose to dispose of him in a place so close to the babysitter house. And if someone did put him there surely they would have been seen with all the search efforts. It’s possible he was in there since yesterday morning but doesn’t make sense why it took so long to find him.

According to this logic they should’ve found the body much earlier.

Then if he was in there yesterday they didn’t do a very thorough search regardless of whether he was at the bottom or not. I can’t imagine the pond was that deep plus I’d think the dogs could pick up his scent.

The pond was 650 ft away from the babysitters house and he was found in 5 ft of water :

Sounds like they are taking into consideration that this could be foul play.

Let me guess, the babysitter did it.

I wasn’t thinking that but I get the impression you’re trying to be a wise ass? Find another thread.

The dad was quoted in an interview as saying that his son wasn't yet able to speak. At 3, that may indicate some kind of delay or autism. While it's easy to look for foul play, the sad fact is that autistic kids are known to bolt and it really wasn't all too far away from the babysitter's home to get to and fall in. 5 feet of water is more than enough for a toddler to drown in on their own, sadly.

That poor, poor family.

I'm not gonna speculate as to the cause because we simply don't have enough info.

Sorry for the family.

Yeah I read he was non verbal as well. I agree that 5 feet of water is certainly enough for a 3 yr old to drown in but it is odd that the pond was searched yesterday (there were divers) nothing was found then the body turns up today. Hard to understand how a body wasn’t found in a small pond.

I heard the baby sitter is the grandmother and she went and took a shower which was when the boy left the house. So sad.

Devastating news! No speculation from me—that’s hard very hard on a family.
