It’s just a hyperbole, for now at least, though let’s be honest, we have plenty of comrade sanderskis and aocskis who see Mao as a role model.

Right I'm not saying dispose of them or do something cruel to them so calm down. Just sayin perhaps Eastern MA is not the place for all these extra kids. Send them out to western ma or North Dakota for all I care. All they want are benefits of being in the US and a job. There are jobs in places besides MA that are way less populated

I'm sure someone will come back and tell me why they should stay in MA. But there's no reason

There are American citizens who've been born and raised here who are afraid to have children or their own because of the times we live in and worry they don't have the money to take care of them. And then you come in here saying we're all supposed to give a sh@t about everyone who comes here from South America's illegal semen demon'a education? Give me a break. You and people who think like you are what is wrong with this country today.

I got so many text messages on this one, including one from "Lobsterman Ed" who asked me to vote no because he doesn't need his taxes raised when we are all struggling.

The text message bombardment was ridiculous this year.

Those m messages might as well be from Joe the teacher or Jane the nurse because when it comes to taxes we all know that extra tax on million quickly turns into extra tax on median.

I have to say . . . I was really disappointed that this passed. Why do we need to raise taxes on anyone right now? Didn't the state just return a ton of money to its taxpayers? Also, I find it completely unfair that there is no exemption for people who don't normally earn at this level. How is it OK to put an additional tax on someone about to enter retirement and is cashing out of a large asset like a business or a home that puts them over the threshold for this tax?

Personally, I don't think enough thought went into this bill before it became a ballot question.

The election results imply to me that there are many people in this state who are living comfortably. Either they have more than enough and are virtue voting, or they have gotten used to entitlements (which have become more prolific since COVID) and want more of it. That includes the unemployment benefactors. COVID really put laziness on steroids.

Without permitting reform all this extra infrastructure money will simply flow into consultants pockets without much impact on actual infrastructure

As long as you need 15 months of local input, 5 environmental reviews, get the approval of the historical society, Chamber of Commerce and residents for a curb cut nothing is going to improve.

However considering like Manchester by the Sea voted yes but Agawam voted no and Lexington voted yes but Webster voted no I don’t think people were all to concerned on a tax on their real estate windfalls

I am having trouble understanding who this would effect? It sounds like it's not for someone who makes a million a year but someone who is selling a business or house or cashing out an account worth over a million?

I did vote NO on this for the record.
