Thanks for all the tips. We are coming from Boston. So I am aware of the cold. Maybe we just stay indoors mostly. The Spa is the main focus.

If you're just gonna stay indoors the whole time, why not go to Denver instead? Won't be finding this in the Berkshires.

If you are from the area, then I'd say that unless there is a big snowstorm going on or there's light snow and you have crap tires, you should be fine - just dress for the weather, and take it easy on the roads if they're slippery. I did a local roadtrip around New Years last year into central NH (overnighted in Hanover) and VT (Woodstock and various) and then down into the CT River Valley - Deerfield and Shelburne Falls and back over to Newburyport, both interstates and 2 lane backroads through farm country and little country villages, through rain, freezing rain, fog and light snow - 350+ miles and I was fine... was driving a Subaru Forester on good all-weather tires - just use a little caution and I am confident in anything but deep snow and/or blizzard. The theme was a covered bridge tour so lots of itty-bitty country towns, was great fun :-).

P.S. here are some of the VT pics

I'm sure they need advice on how to dress and drive in winter weather.

Until they reposted, we didn't know where they were from. They'll be fine.

They only asked for the best town to stay for art, antiques and a massage. That's it. No reason to think they would not "be fine."

I am also heading out to the Berkshires during my company's holiday shutdown. I can't afford to stay in a spa, so I'll probably be camping out under the roof of a covered bridge somewhere .
