I finally caved and turned the heat on (set to 65) in our condo. It's the first time this year that we've turned it on. I guess one of the perks of being in a multi-unit building is that it never gets too cold (always between 65-70 even with the heat off). But we're away this weekend and with the temps slated to drop, I don't want to chance anything dipping too low inside while we're gone. We'll see what it costs, but our gas bill has consistently been around $30 all year long (gas stove and hot water in addition to heat).

We have about 2k sq ft two story house fully rebuilt in 2014 accordingly to new zoning laws about isolation and walls 2 by 6” instead of 2 by 4”. Gas hit, but electrical water boiler, stove. Gas bill is about 120 this and last months. Last year it was about the same, with much colder winter. Electric is $130 a months, 3 years ago was $100.
