One of the aspects of Global Warming seems to be hotter summers and colder winters. We seem to be having greater temperature swings and more severe weather patterns all over our planet.

Default RE Miu

Sorry MIU,

But Global Warming is a political movement, not a weather issue. Its turned into a religon that you cant question...And to make the statement that global warming is causing all these severe climate changes is absurd...If I recall correctly they made that same claim after katrina...hurricanes would become more intense due to global warming....that didnt materialize did it....hmmmmmm

Why are you so against the idea that human beings are affecting the Earth's climate? Huge chunks of the Amazon rain forest are gone. And all over the planet, the natural vegetation and landscape is cleared for mankind's buildings, farms and roads. Then, we are consuming as much clean water as we can. Look at California, for decades it's had water management issues. Every year, there is less snow in the mountains for the spring melt. And every year, the wildfires are worse. All because of man and his development. You don't think that the heat from all those wildfires, all the extra running cars, extra factories, from having less vegetation and more pavement is making the planet hotter and changing the global climate patterns? Then you sir have a very unscientific, illogical mind. It's all about cause and effect.

Regardless of what you think about Global Warming, and it's not just Al Gore but many other Americans also the rest of the global community, with our global human population in the billions, at record high levels and still increasing, it makes real sense for ALL of us to live a greener lifestyle and not be so wasteful or extravagant about the way we live. With so many people on Earth, we have to pull together and take care of the one planet we have to live on. We can't afford to be so selfish and self indulgent about our lifestyles. If you have children or grandchildren, by living so thoughtlessly, you are leaving them to grow old on a planet that is a lot dirtier and f*cked up than when our grandparents were young. It's one thing if the overall human population were only a quarter or half of what it is now, but it's not and we have to share and protect our limited planet's resources... and we have to do it NOW.

Any discussion of "Global Warming" or "Global Cooling" or similar subjects belong in one of the general forums like Weather or POC.
