We move in three weeks and have narrowed down the towns to Weston, Wellesley and loved Concord but were afraid it might be too far out. I was also interested in the Chesnut Hill area. (job near Waltham) We have a 12 and 10 year old. (Liked the schools, homes in our range) Any thoughts, feedback, anyone live there? Anything we should know before taking a plunge in any of the areas? Thanks so much!!!

Welcome to MA! My goodness, how will you find housing that quickly? All great towns though! My favorite of those by far is Concord. I'm a sucker for the downtown, all the history, and the quaint little shops. Places to stay away from in town: the prison & the area near Starmet. Concord overall just feels more homey and welcoming as a community to me but I guess that's a generalization. I don't think the commute from there will be too bad if there's a way to stay off Rt 128. Where in Waltham will you be? Chestnut Hill is also a very nice community.

They are the top median house price towns in MA.

Weston $1140K
Wellesley $898K
Concord $701K
Chestnut Hill $735K

That means they are desirable. People want to move to those town. The question is why? They all have "good" schools. I think the key question to ask yourself is what kind of community do you want? Do you want more urban or suburban setting? How far away do you want to be away from your neighbors?
