I would tend to stay clear of Home Depot. I think I recently heard on the news that they use independent contractors to do installations and other types of work, and as a result, a number of customers have complained that Home Depot did not stand behind the work/jobs done. I believe it was on channel 5's "buyer beware." I've also heard that they are way over priced.

Yes- actually I saw that report on TV. Good call- I forgot all about that.

So far iFloor in Seekonk seems the most reputable and affordable. Haven't heard from anyone that has used them however...

Avoid Empire and Home Depot like the plague! My vote is wood floors from Lumber Luquidators. But I'm not a fan of carpet due to environmental allergies.

we will be having carpet installed as a first project in July. Still looking for a good retailer near Ashland. We have found some decent deals, but lack that one-stop store. So many places don't install- but offer deep discounts, and then some install, but have crazy high prices.

Any carpet store recommendations that have trusted installers with a guarantee?
