I would do a couple things. Figure out what it's worth right now. Figure out how much it would cost to ship from where you live to Hawaii. Check out the used car dealerships on the island you will be living, as well as neighboring islands. And check out sites like autotrader.com and craigslist and such to find any vehicles like yours.

That's what I'd do anyway

If you can find one comparable I'd just sell yours and buy another used one. I mean factor in the cost which is around a grand to ship I believe just from the west coast, not to mention (I've heard from many) it takes something like 4-8 weeks for it to arrive. So if you arrive ahead of it, you'll be using a rental anyway really.
