Plus, a lot of things at costya can be had via amazon, for less, and, it's delivered to your door. Times supermarket has the best prices in Kihei, Safeway is always the most expensive, with Foodland right in between. Nope, I'll pass on costco, beginning of the end for Maui as I knew it.

Aloha
I read this yesterday and laughed out loud! I just read it again and laughed, some more! You are one of a kind, (And I mean that in a good way.) If you would fill up the Ford at Costco, it probably wouldn't cost you so much to make that cruise. Do you ever go to Da Kitchen, behind the Lexus Dealer? I even noticed some Kirkland products there. Costco can't be THAT bad for Maui!
So, how 'bout that Walmart? I recently "drank the kool-aid", and started shopping there.
Have a great weekend, all!

I've just been here wayyy too long. Nothing against saving money, at all! Just costco is too crowded, from the opening bell to the closing fight in the parking lot.. At least one would think the costco in kahului would extend its hours, but they don't. Makes no sense to me. I would pick up heating oil for my furnace here in Kihei if they only carried the stuff. After all, I think it's what 45% of us use...........

Aloha, a hawi mai i maha

Cannibals on Maui? I'll be wary of the lady handing out free meat samples on toothpicks. Even if it does "taste like chicken."

We actually like Costco for non-food items best.

I will give the costs I generally pay beside the item for others reading this thread to reference.

Fresh Ground Beef - $15
9 Fresh boneless Pork Chops - $14
8 Frozen boneless Chicken Breasts - $17
Brick of cheddar cheese - $9
1lb Butter - $4
Bag of Frozen vegetables - $7
6 yellow/orange/red peppers - $6
1 gallon milk - $5
Cereal - $7
Frozen Hamburger Patties - $18
Pork chops. 2.89/lb
2 lb kirkland cheese 5.79
Cheerios 6.79

A few things i saw today at Costco
