Kihei Rent a Car is a great company and one of the cheaper around and they shuttle to and from the airport. They are friendly and good overall. However, being on a super tight budget, I had to dig a little more for an even cheaper company. Franks Friendly Rent a Car had an amazing deal of renting for only $13.95 a day plus tax. That was only $122 for this week rather than the $166 with Kihei. I have no concerns with either place and just went with the most affordable. I think Franks is a one person business and he has his cars super close to the airport. Kihei is a little longer of a drive from the airport.

My best advice is for people to shop around a little before booking a car because as others have mentioned, rates can change daily. Some companies will match competitor prices so if you find a place you like a lot, perhaps you can stay with them and get the competitor rate. I will have no hesitation going with either Kihei or Franks again in the future and likely just go with the cheaper of the two. If Franks will always match Kiheis rates, I will go with him because he is much closer to the airport.

Ooops.

Got that backwards when I typed it.
Renting from the AIRPORT will cost MORE than from the Enterprise office 2 miles away...
