I'm not watching it but my guess is they are only mocking ignorant Trump supporters.
Do I have that part right? I read some of the words...and they are funny and true.
You could be a U and a Crane next to it and they couldn't find it - of course, according to Trump's Knight (Pompeo) they don't care anyway.
Maybe Pompeo was the leading mocker here? That's a real insult to the American voter to suggest that they don't care about Putin marching in and a hot war and downed civilian airliners and Trump holding them hostage (against the law) and all things Ukraine.
As usual the Trump crowd has a hard time with the actual issues...preferring to move into "we are melting snowflakes" mode instead of stating that they care - or don't - about Putin and his desires.
Right. Pompeo is the actual snowflake who couldn't answer the mean reporter's question so he grabbed his map and pacifier. Then when his map gambit didn't work, he threw a bigger tantrum than my toddler does.
Gee I need to let my son in law the owner of a huge business in FL know this or maybe our grandson in law, the CPA. Maybe better our other grand son in law, the VP of a mid sized business here in the mid west. Oh and then there is the cousin who is a retired E. Engineer with a PHD. I everyone gets the picture . When are people going to stop classifying everyone who may not agree with them as dumb, uneducated, naive, low life etc?
First off, you're proving my point. Nobody said anything about going to college. He literally said can't do math and can't read. Again, if people are self identifying as such, that's on them. People can have southern accents and realize they're intelligent. I've met plenty.
Secondly, nobody said anything about book smart vs. some other form of intelligence.
Thirdly, did you even watch the clip? Don Lemon just laughed at Republican operative Rick Wilson's remarks. Rick Wilson made a gross stereotype. Rick Wilson is a Republican. I'm not making excuses for anyone. I'm literally pointing out how people that support Trump constantly say and do things that make absolutely zero sense, and your entire post proves my point.
I'm not struggling with anything. There's definitely been people on Fox News make fun of people based on their race before. That's like, half their programming.

Give us an example of anyone on FOX that has made fun of anyone based on color or race.

To be fair, Wilson wasn't suggesting that all Republicans or conservatives are dumb, uneducated low-lifes. He joked, quite accurately, that when Pompeo pulled out a blank map to try to embarrass a reporter who asked him a tough question, he was playing to the "credulous boomer rube demo" that guffaws at that kind of crap.
It was stupid for Wilson to say it, but not because he got the profile wrong. It was stupid because those folks are sitting on a hair-trigger, actively looking for reasons to get riled up and mobilize politically.
Are all the relatives you mentioned the types who cheer when government officials behave like Pompeo, or when senators call reporters "liberal hacks" instead of simply declining comment? Are they the type to share Facebook memes wondering how there can possibly be global warming if there's still snow on the ground in March?
If so, then yes... Wilson was referring to your relatives. If not, then no... Wilson was not referring to your relatives.
But either way, it would be foolish to deny that rational Trump supporters have to share their political sphere with a sizeable contingent of "credulous boomer rubes," just as it would be foolish for rational Democrats to deny that they have to share their political sphere with some crazy progressive fringe groups.

Don Lemon does not represent all Trump critics. He's an entertainer on TV. I don't care to watch him or put much value in what he thinks or says.
If you do and get riled up about it -- that's on you.
I do think there are some deplorable people in conservative talk radio and on tv. They say awful things about folks who don't think like them.
I don't give a royal dippity do da day about their view.
Don Lemon's show is a pundit show. It's like Fox and Friends, Tucker CArlson, or like any other talk show that uses politics as its talking point.
Watch or don't watch. But don't lump all investigate journalists that work into CNN in his category. That's like suggesting Tucker Carlson is a serious journalist......
I don't hold you accountable for Ted Nugent's crazy or Judge P.'s rants or that Tami or Tomi Lehran or whatever her name is. They don't represent all Trump supporters anymore than Lemon represents all Trump critics.
