Wind accounts for just 10 percent of the power in Texas generated during the winter. And the loss of power to the grid caused by shutdowns of thermal power plants, primarily those relying on natural gas, dwarfed the dent caused by frozen wind turbines, by a factor of five or six,” The Post reported.

I'd say Carlson is full of crap.

Why aren’t these “” energy experts” identified by name. One person, a “ Fellow” talks about. Comparisons with Russia.
Where is the meat of the article?
The Power Company admitted the other day that up to 20-25 % of their generation is renewables.
NPR said today Texas was shipping Natural Gas out of the state , and has less to burn.
The power company admitted that out of the 20 % of renewable energy, they has losses of 16 Gigawatts . The thermal sources generate 80 % and had a 3o Gigawatts loss.
They are playing fast with the data. If you loose 16 gigawatts out of a 20 % contribution, compared to 30 gigawatts out of an 80 % contribution, it is clear. Then you need to consider the added stress on the thermal to replace the loss from renewables.
Either way , it is all a mess, Good Luck to Texans.
