What are some of Hickory Hill most dangerous areas. Because im thinking about moving right by Kirby High school which is just down the street of Crump and Hickory Ridge. the housing looks nice its on East raines road Spring Hollow Drive is that a good place to live. Also is the schools good for my family?

Hickory Hill in and of itself is a very dangerous area of Memphis. The 38115 and the 38118 are just maybe like works in progress as such a thing pertains to crimes of a rather ghastly sort. I take no pleasure in typing any of this out, by the way.

The area is dangerous and the schools are horrible. I would not advise anyone to willingly move into the area if they have other options. Take a drive down Kirby Pkwy from Shelby Dr. to Winchester and look at all the gang graffiti on the fences for an idea of what the area is like. It is over run with gangs, crime, litter, and low class people.

Wow but some of the housing look so nice. I also thought that the gang graffiti was just a bunch of knuckleheads doing stupid things. Wow.

No! It`s messed up here. I`m leaving Memphis for good between Jan and Feb of 2012. It`s not a good place to live anymore. The economy here shot to hell. Nothing but temp jobs and low class perm jobs. It who you know you rather than what you know. You`ll hear the police alot responding to various crimes. I don`t feel safe walking to the store. Not an exaggeration it the truth. Memphis has gone downhill....Don`t move here by choice......
