Anyone out there had any experience with San Luis Protosi? Costs? Rentals? Attitudes towards gringos?
air transport to USA? Medical? Nightlife? Thanks for any replies.

Been there a few times, never to live. I don't think air service is that extensive there, but there are some flights including to Tijuana which is what most bargain seeking expats do these days. Everything else sounds very attractive and liveable. Look it up on YouTube, I have seen a few expats who live there do videos on living there.

Very nice looking colonial downtown. I have it on the list to visit. Mexico has so many nice cities to visit.
As far as living there it should be doable. Check out some dedicated Mexico expat forums.
