I'm going to CDMX for the first time in a couple of weeks. I'll be staying just outside of Roma. I have some idea of things that I'd like to see. I'm interested in local food/markets, architecture, nature, and pre-Columbian artifacts/history. I'm planning on using a combination of Ecobici and public transportation to get around. Looking for recommendations on some must-see places. Thanks in advance!

The daily market in CDMX is largest in country....overwhelming! But in a good way.

Chapultepec Park has a lot to see. Museum, home of President (Los Piños). Lovely walking area.

Frida Kahlo's house is now a museum and is either a subway or short taxi ride from Roma.

The Zócalo area is full of museums and some ruins and the cathedral is a great architectural building.

Bella Artes is a great structure too.

Carlos Slim built an Art Museum dedicated to his late wife. The building itself is a modern masterpiece.

Depending on your length of stay, if you have time do a boat ride on the Xochimilco.

Gotta check out some lucha libre every Tuesday and Friday night at Arena Mexico (Not to be confused with the newer Arena de La Ciudad de Mexico).

Dr. Lavista 189, Doctores, Cuauhtémoc, 06720 Ciudad de México

Does 'CDMX' mean the DF? Does it stand for Ciudad de Mexico ?

^^ Yes, sometime in 2015 or 2016 it ceased to be Distrito Federal (DF) and rebranded itself as CDMX.

^^ Wow that's interesting! I had no idea.

Well then, op, you need to hit Loma Linda in Lomas. Then Sanbornes for Enchiladas Suizas, flan and a cafecito and a cigarette. Then Polanco for Flautas and horchata. (If any of these are still around).

Cuidad Prehispánica de Teotihuacán, the pyramids just outside CDMX. Take public trans or rent a car.

Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
